Pastor Bert Pretorius, with his wife Charné are the founding pastors of 3C Church – a dynamic, multi-racial, multi-site, vibrant and fast-growing church with over 30,000 members in the City of Tshwane, South Africa.
The ministry has since expanded into multiple cities, including the USA. Bert and Charné are blessed, with sons, Pearson, Damian and Tristan, and their daughters Caitlyn, Jordan and Madison. And grand-children Nayo, Josiah-Bert, Imani, Elijah and Lucas.
Pastors Bert and Charné are also the founders of the Mahlasedi Foundation, spearheading many welfare and social development projects. These include specialist areas like Disaster Relief Food Distribution, wherein the last two years over R240million worth of food was distributed, equating to 60 million meals feeding over 600,000 people from every province in South Africa. Other specialist areas include education; crime prevention (including Gender-Based Violence); the empowerment and development and care of women and children; small business development including agriculture; youth development.
Pastor Bert is also the founder of SACOFF (South African Community of Faith-Based Fraternals and Federations). As of date SACOFF has 216 registered members representing 15,459 churches. SACOFF is a vehicle from the religious community working to address the social needs of our society, touching every geographical community in South Africa.
